The Spooner Cardinals are an amateur men's baseball club playing in the WBA Independent League across Northwest Wisconsin. From mid-May through August, the boys lace up at Merchant Park (and on the road across Brill, Cumberland, Haugen, and Hayward) and play the kind of game that built this town.
No analytics. No big-league posturing. Just wood bats, leather mitts, and twenty-five guys who love this game enough to keep showing up for it.
